Watch Diet Sessions on the Internet ネットで国会テレビ?!

The first little tidbit I’d like to share with you all that I found from JANJAN is their feature Kokkai Watch. It covers all events related to the Japanese Diet.

Some Interesting links I saw:

衆議院TV (Lower House TV)

参議院審議中継 (Upper House Live)

These are like a Japanese C-Span — watch any meeting of Japan’s legislature at your leisure.

Whenever something important comes up I’ll be sure to keep an eye on these. I also like the UN’s video archive, while we’re on the topic.

  1. I havent watched these in a few years, but is the quality still sh*t? The videos used to just be 45kbps, which meant fuzy, low-quality videos that were too frustrating to bother to watch.

  2. Another problem is that it’s difficult as hell to find what you’re looking for on Diet TV. Nearly everytime I read a quote in the paper from Koizumi before the diet, I give up looking the video clip of it after 15 minutes because it’s never in the session the paper said it should be. If you figure this out, please let me know.
