Is Yukio Hatoyama a “9-11 Truth” believer? 鳩山民主党代表は9・11陰謀論者なのか

Since this message is partly intended for a Japanese audience, I’ll start in that language:

Normally I don’t believe a word that Benjamin Fulford says, but this statement made off-hand in his latest blog post caught my eye:

Yukio Hatoyama, the head of the Democratic Party of Japan and likely winner of the July election made it a point recently to appear at a 911 truth conference. So Mr. cult leader, you know which way the wind is blowing.

Turns out, the first part of what he said is kind of true. According to Yukihisa Fujita, a DPJ Upper House member and leading proponent of 9-11 Truthism in Japan, Hatoyama gave a speech “representing the DPJ” at an event commemorating the release of Fujita’s new book,  Seeking 9/11 Truth at Japan’s Parliament – Can Obama Really Change the United States? This was back in April when Hatoyama was still just Secretary General of the DPJ.

Hatoyama apparently encouraged Fujita’s campaign to open a new investigation into the attacks. According to Fujita’s report of the event, Hatoyama “remarked on the significance of  investigating the source of this war on terrorism,”  and directly quoted him telling Fujita during the speech, “You are ready to give your life for these efforts, aren’t you?”

I don’t think I need to remind my readers just how misguided and unhinged the 9-11 Truth movement is. But briefly, all the mountains of supposedly damning evidence can be toppled with just one simple fact – it’s only the small group of whackos in the 9-11 Truth movement who think there was a conspiracy. Of all the victims’ families, the firefighters, and the voluminous credible scientific studies of what happened, none of them have any motive to coordinate and join this so-called conspiracy.

It isn’t my intention to cast guilt by association. But if Fujita (and Ben) are claiming Hatoyama to be a fellow traveler I’d like to know where Hatoyama stands, considering how close he is to the premiership. As a potential representative of Japan on the world stage, I would recommend Hatoyama to forcefully renounce any connection to these dangerous fantasies.

  1. The problem is that both in the DPJ and LDP there are so called 電波議員. I heard that it was Hatoyama who introduced him to politics. The wikipedia states the same thing.

I admit that it probably becomes a political problem if Hatoyama becomes a prime minister (which I doubt a bit), but maybe not a serious one. It is sad state of Japanese politics.

By the way, in japan 9/11 conspiracy is widely believed among progressive intellectuals and I guess Fujita is one of them.

On the other hand, on the right side, there are people who believe that Nanjin et al is a fiction created by communist. Both in the DPJ and the LDP.

Sad that there are conspiracy theorists among the Diet members.

  2. Wow, found this blog article in Japanese (I have splitt the link in two)

    http://d.hatena.ne.jp/

    SeaMount/20090411/1239408288

Really interesting members who attended the party. And persons who sent a message…. 30 lawmakers LDP members included…

  3. Sad thing is, this completely shakes whatever confidence I had in the DPJ. He really needs to forcefully renounce this bullshit.

  4. This is pretty much all I have to say on this topic:
    https://www.mutantfrog.com/2007/12/28/more-unintended-consequences-or-were-they/

It’s not like there aren’t secret government conspiracies, but they tend not to STAY secret very well. The biggest problem for me with the 9/11 conspiracy theories is that they’re based exclusively on the nature of the crime scene as it were, without ever providing any evidence, or even serious hypotheses, for the planning stages. For example, they claim that 9/11 was planned to provide an excuse to invade Iraq, but Bush had only been in office for 8 months at that point, but the hijackers had been training for their mission/living as sleepers for much longer than that. So… the program was under Clinton? By who? Why? When?

None of the theorists (as far as I’ve seen) have actually provided any documentary or testimonial evidence to support a conspiracy, merely physical evidence that they claim proves either there was no plane hitting the pentagon or that the planes hitting the WTC were not the sole cause of the collapse. Then why do the experts in relevant fields believe there are scientific explanations for the collapse? Are they being paid off by the government to write articles in Popular Mechanics and provide quotes to the major newspapers? And the scope of the conspiracy continues to grow and grow. The problem is, people HATE keeping secrets, and they LOVE to talk. If the conspiracy were true, there would be hundreds or thousands of people out there, many of them outside the government secrecy regime (i.e. not CIA, NSA, etc.), who had been involved in some part of it and would be able to testify. The fact that noone has ever come public to say something like “the government paid me to produce a false metallurgical analysis report” or “I was one of the guys lugging barrels of oil into WTC 7” seems ultimately to be the strongest evidence that there was no conspiracy. Just look at everything the Bush administration TRIED to keep secret, and failed to!

And it’s not like I don’t believe government conspiracies exist. Look at Contra from the 80s. Or take Operation Northwood-a plan for false flag style attacks in the manner of the 9/11 conspiracy meant to justify an invasion of Cuba-which does show that some people in government have the capability to come with plans as horrific as the one the 9/11 conspiracy believes. Well, Operation Northwood was shelved immediately and never happened, and just because a couple of guys in a dark room at the DoD came up with a similar suggestion is hardly evidence for a conspiracy decades later. Find me a government memo similar to the ones outlining Operation Northwood showing who in the US government planned 9/11 as a false flag attack or provide some witnesses who can provide credible testimony and I’ll change me mind.

  5. What we know depends on our ability to cut to the mustard behind appearances. And whomever was behind the crime, the subsequent crimes are inexcusable, from the bombing of a few world trade center’s worth of afgani civilans dead, to bombing 2 hundred world trade centers of dead in iraq. This is not to mention a thousand world

trade centers of dead in Congo, and the spectacular rise in the American prison population indicative of a re-introduction of systemic chattel slavery. The oil wars of the western drug addict are as predictable as those of any desperate petro-dollar corporatist. The oil is running out and they can’t do anything but lie about it to keep the income in petro-corruption as long as it can be milked.

Motive and opportunity point to whom is deeply to be suspected, given that governments actually have expert explosives advisors that were surely able to debunk the WTC story from early-on as a USA-staged coup d’etat by the Bush/Cheney/Aramco gang. Whether there is enough evidence to convict does not mean that an individual person should not convict them inexcusably for it happening on their watch. That sloppyness alone makes the lot of these leaders not worthy of public office. A risk adverse person assigns motive and opportunity to all the suspects keeping a close eye on the propaganda patterns of its deception.

This paper explains the heat physics in a section called “target coupling”

    http://www.citebase.org/fulltext?format=application%2Fpdf&identifier=oai%3AarXiv.org%3Aphysics%2F0510071

That section explains the impossibly large source of energy as foreign military’s are aware. The heightened measurements of tritium at the WTC are indicative, and the site does look exactly like photographs of nagasaki with the ground smoking for weeks.

    http://www.saunalahti.fi/wtc2001/military.htm

I believe that they were intending to call that suitcase bombs to get a war with whomever they wanted as a plan B in case the 757 distractions were not accepted by the public as a reasonable cause for a nuclear blast. The kind of soulless people capable of this exist in the thousands at the republican party. This is a global class war, and no respectable publication should call it otherwise. 911 apologises nothing, these criminals are still in power and newspapers are not calling them out or challenging them in any serious way. That’s what happens when everyone’s a bought-off voice of a monolithic propaganda machine. The conspiracy theory must be that a series of corporations that are highly interconnected, sponsored these wars because of profits involved with keeping us addicted to petrol. – irregardless of the human cost.

  6. PS. You are correct that the WTC attack doesn’t justify a lot of things that have happened since. That is not exactly a controversial statement. Class conflict is definitely one contributing factor to a number of conflicts in the world today, but to simply declare a “global class war” is a dramatic oversimplification. After all, just to take a single example, the WTC attack was masterminded by upper and middle class Saudis, not the poor.

This is the first time I have seen any accusations of a nuclear device being exploded at the WTC, and I’ve seen a lot of conspiracy theories over the years. This one is particularly absurd.

  7. Best possible evidence for 911 NOT being a Bush conspiracy: most of the attackers were Saudis and not Iraqis….

  8. “This is the first time I have seen any accusations of a nuclear device being exploded at the WTC, and I’ve seen a lot of conspiracy theories over the years. This one is particularly absurd.”

Yes on second thoughts you are dead right. It must have been amateur Saudi pilots with box-cutters who managed to overpower airliners and pull of complex maneuvers, silly me.

  9. Wow, glad we got that settled! Please let all your conspiracy theorist friends know how you came to see the error of your ways!

  10. So do you believe the official conspiracy theory then ?

That there happened to be a military exercises on the same day simulating a response to an attack on the WTC ? And that one of the pilot’s passports was found in the rubble? (as it says in the 9-11 Commission Report)
    Funny, that.

I think loose change and all that is garbage. And I agree that Fulford is OTT a lot of the time, but there was something fishy about 9-11 and a lot of people know that. Bring it up and you get called “fruit loop” “conspiracy theorist” etc. No I am not a David Icke fan.

  11. @ Jade Oc –

the Bush famiy and the Bin ladens are old friends. Surely that makes it more likely that they are in cahoots ? It has nothing to do with Iraqis. It is about the neo-cons wanting an event “on the scale of peal harbour” as PNAC said in order to kick start their latest war on brown people. Nothing sinister about it really.

  12. The pilots had training and had practiced on flight sims. Before 9/11 Nobody had ever used a commercial airline as a weapon outside of a Tom Clancy novel and when the hijackers used their boxcutters to take hostages the natural assumption was that they would try to land the plane somewhere, as in all the many hijackings of the past. Had the passengers and crew known the plan was to crash you can rest assured they would have fought back more fiercely.

  13. How stupid that ANYBODY, could have ever believed that a man in a cave in Afghanistan and physics defying muslim hijackers could turn Manhattan into a sea of particle dust. Who needs nuclear weapons? Just ram a couple of old airplanes into Ikebukuro and watch it turn to dust.

  14. Maybe if Ikebukuro was full of gigantic, poorly designed skyscrapers. And “sea of particle dust”? The area affected was actually pretty small.

  15. You know, the WTC was designed by a Japanese architect. Maybe it was all part of an elaborate plan to get revenge for Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Hatoyama is only trying to throw off suspicion on Bush to keep the REAL truth under wraps.

  16. Maybe it was Noam Chomsky who did it to further sales of his dissident literature

The REAL truth is out there

  17. Hatoyama is onto something for sure.

As an American it must be hard for you to accept that CNN = not always truth

good old Uncle Sam, a benevolent force in our world

  18. PS, im happy for you to bring a dissenting opinion but try to phrase them less dickishly. As an American I’m well aware that my government is simply not competent enough to pull off such an elaborate conspiracy without leaking any evidence whatsoever. Conspiracy believers like you are just like religious believers. You need to believe in a higher power and higher purpose in every bad thing that happens because a world in which a few poorly funded fanatics can bring such devastation is too terrifying.

  19. Dickish ? I think that’s an accolade already won by you.

The government isn’t competent enough ? But it is competent enough
to put a man on the moon ?

I don’t see myself as a conspiracy believer, I just have a healthy doubt
about the official story. I suggest you do the same.

“. You need to believe in a higher power and higher purpose in every bad thing that happens because a world in which a few poorly funded fanatics can bring such devastation is too terrifying”

    Really ? I don’t think so.

  20. “I don’t see myself as a conspiracy believer, I just have a healthy doubt
about the official story. I suggest you do the same.”

And I suggest you to have your own blog.Good bye.

  21. Yeah, I’ve had enough of this topic. Comment on other things if you want to, PS, but this discussion is done.
