At a speech in Saitama City, the embattled LDP Secretary General Tsutomu Takebe, who is being blamed for his outpouring of support for ex-Livedoor president Takafumi Horie during the September 2005 Lower House election, let people know that he had to tell his grandchildren that he is in fact NOT Horie’s brother, despite saying so at a speech at the time.

I wonder if that was just one of Takabe’s ways of defusing the situation with humor. He’s a pretty funny guy, and since he and many others in the LDP are taking lots of flack right now, he’s just trying to lighten the situation.
See this, btw?

Yes, the “偉大なるイエスマン” comment was pretty funny too.
One of the reasons I like ZAKZAK is that they routinely put stuff like this online, while Asahi/Nikkei etc tend to let it rot on the print newspaper. Helps keep exiles like myself connected.
And about Horie’s “butt service” — I really didn’t need to hear about that man getting an anal probe. Muneo, on the other hand, I can deal with.
