Mount Fuji revisited

Japanese people are proud of their seasons, and rightly so. Even from afar, the seasonal changes here are quite dramatic and beautiful, if sometimes painful for subway commuters like me.

As an example of this, here is Mount Fuji naked (as of last weekend, which was blistering hot):

      Beautiful pics. The second reminds me of a time when I was flying over Japan on the way to Korea (does that make Japan flyover country?). It was just like that, with the mountain poking through a smooth layer of clouds, but it was sunset, so the sky was a beautiful orange. It was one of the most amazing things I’d ever seen.
